Capercailzie

The hunting areas in Bosnia where Capercailzie can still be found in numbers allowing a controlled hunt are high mountains of over 2000 meters in central and Eastern Bosnia.
The hunt is done when the bird is singing in the early morning light, by approaching the singing bird. This technique is a true art known only by few expert hunting guides who will accompany you. Shotguns or small calibers (22 magnum or 222) can be used.
The accommodation is in small hotels in the vicinity of the hunting area. The hunt is conducted on the last snow, during the night or early in the morning thus it requires adequate clothing. For the evening wild boar or wolf still hunting can be organized.

Rates Include:
3 days of the organization of the hunt, assistance of local game keepers, transfers in a 4 WD vehicle, full board in a hotel or hunting lodge in the reserve, skinning and salting of the trophy.
Rates Don’t Include:
Air fares, professional guide (€ 80 daily fee), tips, drinks and gratuities.
