Spring hunting on the largest brown bear in the world is done with motor sleighs finished off by stalking on foot. Daily 3 to 10 bears can be encountered so that the hunter has the possibility to choose a large trophy. Transfer is by car from Petropavlovsk (about 8 hour drive) to the heliport in Kozirevsk, in order to proceed by helicopter to the base camp (strictly made of tents or small cabins of professional hunters). From there the hunter starts off in motor sleighs to search for the bears which are perfectly visible on the blinding white of the snow even from long distances. |
