In the immense Mongolian steppe only 2% of the territory is cultivated. These areas, that can be reached a 5 to 6 hour drive North from Ulan Batar, are literally invaded by black grouse, that inhabit this area totally undisturbed, since the Mongolian populations do not practice this type of hunt thus we are able to offer our clients up to 5 black grouse trophies in 5 days hunt.
In the spring the black grouses put up regular fights for the females in the so-called “arenas” where they are hunted in the early morning from the blinds. Besides preparing the blinds for the next day, it is also possible to hunt Siberian roe deer in the afternoon which are very numerous in this area.
Recommended calibers are either shotgun or carabin from 22 to 22 hornet. In the same area in the mountains there are also numerous capercailles and there is a strong temptation to hunt them too but the local guides do not know this type of hunt and we cannot guarantee it. There are also wolves there and they also can be hunted.
We’ve built a comfortable hunting lodge for our clients in the area of the major concentration of animals with 4 double rooms and a chalet with a double room, with services.

All transfers by 4x4, full board in our hunting lodge, one guide per two hunters, interpreter guide for every group, assistance of our staff at arrival and departure at the airport of Ulan Batar, up to 5 black grouse trophies, half board in the hotel in Ulan Batar.

Air fares, visa (USD 50, 4 passport size photographs are required), weapon import permits (USD 20), veterinary certificate (USD 50) to be paid directly at the airport, drinks (you need to buy your drinks upon arrival in Ulan Batar), shotgun cartridges (€ 9 per box of 25), carabin 7 mm Rem. Mag. rent 100 €, cartridges 50 € per box of 20, tips and gratuities.
