Hunting areas are situated on the Taymir peninsula at several hours or days from Dudinka (after arrival in Dudinka by car from the airport in Norilsk, a boat trip is taken to reach the hunting areas). They can be changed according to caribou migrations. The first hunts are done on the banks of the river Glubokaya, where herds concentrate because there are no mosquitoes there, then on the river and the lake of Piasino. It takes 2 days of trip by boat to reach it but caribous abound there allowing the possibility to harvest several trophies.
During this hunt river banks are searched for caribous by boats and, after a herd has been located, it is then approached on foot in order to be able to choose large trophies. It is also possible to hunt geese and ducks and do fishing in the rivers with nets and by spinning.
Accommodation is in tents or on the boat (daily temperatures are around 10 °C and 0°C by night, with strong winds and sunshine, which makes it necessary to bring sun glasses and sun lotions). A specially assigned cook prepares the meals for the whole group.
