PERIOD: From September 15 to March 31
COUNTRY: AZERBAIJAN
Location: Kizilagach, Zavar, Sari – Su lake
AREA: National park of Kizilagach
In Azerbaijan we have three hunting areas. The first is the famous national park of Kizilagach, which is the most important waterfowl national park in the ex Soviet Union on the Caspian Sea, close to the border with Iran. The second area is the lake Zavar. The third area situated in the hinterland is the park of Sarisu, an immense swamp of 110.000 ha. In all three areas we have built new hunting houses with all European comforts.
The hunt is done from boats or from fixed blinds with decoys and calls. In September there are many Garganeys as well as in March while in the winter season, starting from October, numerous species like teals, wigeons, gadwalls and red-crested pochards, gather here arriving from the North of Russia in these two lakes that never freeze. Our duck specialist, Gianni, will stay with you in Azerbaijan during the whole season thus guaranteeing a great success of this hunt.
