AREA: Central and south part of Iceland
Small game hunting areas change depending on the period, in the way that the first geese are hunted in the central plateau area in August, whereas the last geese we find in the south of the island, close to Rejkjavik. White partridge is mostly hunted in the eastern part of the island close to Egilsstadir, to which it is possible to arrive with a local flight. Geese hunt is done from fixed blinds with decoys and calls, and white partridge hunt is done with dogs of the professional hunter. Lodging is organized in comfortable hunting huts, or in the farms of the hunting area.
