With the intent to help new generations of hunters discover the ethical feeling and the values of hunting, we are promoting a Hunting Campus in Africa for teenagers.
This Campus will be held form July 1 – 17, 2006, in correspondance with Summer vacations, and it is reserved for children between 12 and 17 years old.
The duration of this Campus is of 17 days, with departures from Rome or Milan. The Campus is based in Burchell Game reserve, in the Cape province of the South African Republic. Lodging in the reserve is ideal for the goal of this project and up to 28 people can be accomodated in spacious double rooms with private bathroom.
The Cape region is free of Malaria and Paludism and no vaccinations are necessary.
The participants will be followed by Italian representatives with vast experience in the African continent for the whole duration of the project.
The Campus is directed by professional hunters of Safari International.
Thanks to the petronage of Mr. Enrico Zamacola, the winner of the Weatherby award, the participats will be subject to a particularly low price , and besides the participant that will show the best results at the end of the course will participate for the Youth Award offered by Mr. Ricardo Medem.
ITINERARY
July 1 – Departure from Rome or Milan for Johanesburgh via Madrid.
July 2 – Transport from Johanesburg to Port Elizabeth. Arrival at the Burchell Game reserve.
From July 2 to July 16 – Campus
July 17 – Departire for Italy via Madrid
July 18 – Arrival to Italy, Rome or MIlan
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Time 5:30 Wake up and breakfast
Time 6:30 Practical hunting, stalking and track recognition, fauna observation.
Time 10 – 11 English class with mothertongue teachers.
Time 11 – 12 Shooting class.
Time 12 – 13 General zoology and African fauna class, hunting teaory and trophy preparation.
Time 13 Luch, rest and sports activities.
Time 16 Practical hunting, stalking and track recognition, fauna observation.
Time 19 Shower
Time 19:30 Dinner
Time 21 Curfue.
The participants will form several groups, each group will have at disposal:
- One professional hunter
- Hunting vehicle and equipment
- Spanish supervisor
Each participant has the right to shoot only one animal at choice from the following species: Impala, Facocero, Duiker, Bleshbuck, Steenbuck or Springbuck.
Each group will have its winnr that will be chosen on the basis of the points obtained in varous disciplines of the Campus and an absolute winner will be chosen between the finalists who will have the right to shoot a Kudu or a similar animal, while the second best will have the right to shoot a Bushbuck or a similar animal.

Flights Madrid – Madrid, lodging and full board, the right to shoot one animal, use of rifles, all ammunition and all other listed in the program.
