Greenland – Muskox
August – September
Muskox hunting primarily takes place close to the coast, in order to ease the heavy work of carrying back to the boat. Instead of hunting out of a single hunting area, we move to where the animals are. There are often medal trophies among the 300 kilo bulls. Harvested animals are cut and field prepared for a shoulder mount.
Hunts are typically organized for smaller groups, offering an excellent way to see Greenland’s wildlife. For bow hunting, hunting from stands by the tracks for short-range shots is the preferred method for muskox, while rifle hunts have a 100% success rate.
Lodging is provided in cabins and fly camps, making the stay as comfortable as possible.
