Poland – European Bison
November – March
Poland is one of the few countries in Europe with a natural population of European bison. Bison stay in herds of females, young and small males, while adult males, very aggressive, join the herd seldom, during breeding season. Local game keepers control the movements of the herds and they know at any time where they can be found. Only adult males are hunted, with trophies rarely under bronze medal.
The hunting ground is about 7000 ha big. The hunters are accommodated in a beautiful house in the middle of the forest. Traditional dishes of the Polish cuisine are served.
Hunting organization includes traditional hunting ceremonials like playing hunting horn signals, festive meal around the campfire, handing out items commemorating the trophy.
